Xanthe Denning, Barn Manager / Sanctuary Coordinator
Xanthe has lived in the Seattle area her whole life, growing up on Mercer Island and now living in West Seattle with her three cats and two guinea pigs. Xanthe has always loved animals, and knew she wanted to work with them from a very young age. She rode horses for about 10 years and rescued an off the track Thoroughbred named Zara. Zara has since been rehomed, but Xanthe hopes to ride and own a horse again someday. She has volunteered for a variety of animal rescue organizations, from fostering Guinea Pigs to her current gig with RASKC taking care of cats. She went to Oregon State University where she studied Fisheries and Wildlife. In her free time, Xanthe enjoys hiking/backpacking, gardening, and exploring local breweries. Her goal is to own a small farm of her own in the Wenatchee area one day.
